The White Rose Cycle Route runs from Hull to Middlesbrough via York. On April 15th 2004 I cycled the first leg from Hull to York via Market Weighton. (NCR 66) I clocked about 56 miles.

It was a dry day with a southerly breeze so I had the wind at my back for almost the entire route.

I took the 0953 train to Hull and set off on my Scott S3 Roadster from Hull Paragon Station at about 1100.

The day before I had checked the bike over. Cleaned and oiled the chain, checked the tyres, packed my panniers and watched the weather forecast.

The next few pages are an illustrated log of the (very enjoyable) day.
